Carl was passionate about charities that support sudden cardiac death syndrome and was always keeping up with the latest research. He had his own issues with heart irregularities and stroke. The British Heart Foundation study all these areas and other blood related diseases like dementia. Carl would have preferred the money people would have spent on flowers for the funeral to instead be donated to The British Heart Foundation in order to further their work and hopefully make a difference to the lives of others.
